The study from the Animality perspective: understanding the social mind, animal cognition, and how to recognise and preserve subjectivity – in every moment of daily life.

A study for those interested in deconstructing speciesism, both within knowledge and habits foundations – to facilitate the growing awareness towards other animals, learning how to preserve quality experiences and find adventures in daily life.

Animality Roots gives you a knowledge foundation to grow and develop towards a reconstruction of knowledge – breaking with the anthropocentric and speciesist scientific culture. It offers a study framework to create an ethical compass for people from a wide range of backgrounds, from various fields of (academic) knowledge, but all with the interest to grow in a framework built on a different knowledge, cruelty free cognition, free from speciesism, training or any other form of animal objectification.

This thrilling new study program is developed in an English-spoken edition as 6 online study days (one day every four weeks) and a final presentationday, of full-immersion in the Learning Animals socio-cognitive model of knowledge and learning. The online days mix theory and practice in the unique characteristics of Learning Animals classes and make them dynamic experiences, even being the distance learning format.

The teachings are based on the anti-speciesist ethology and the socio-cognitive learning model as developed by evolutionary biologist, knowledge activist and anti-speciesist: Dr. Francesco De Giorgio [Learning Animals].

This edition will start on October 16th 2021.

The increasing interest and growing responsibility for animal welfare and our relationship with animals requires, in more and more areas, knowledge of the relationship between humans and other animals, but also a better insight to understand how easily knowledge discrimination still takes place
Animality Roots creates the opportunity to be able to develop towards a different thinking and practical application in coexistence, not based on principals of utility or welfare, but an ethical compass, where subjectivity comes first, to learn how to preserve others for who they are.

The study will also teach you how to literally move in a different way, through a rediscovering ways of Animality movement, to return and re(dis)cover your own Animality and with that a more cognitive dialogue with the world, and with the worlds of everyone you live with.

This edition will start with minimum 5 and maximum 9 participants, to ensure space for exchange and shared experiences.

After receiving your request, we will plan an interview/intake, by phone or online, after which you will be send the payment detail for the registration (included in the total fee) to confirm your participation. The intake is required to ensure the study desires and needs of each participant resonate with the study content and to preserve a learning environment oriented towards an evolution in coexistence.
